Westchester Knicks News Release
The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, will tip-off its fourth season on the road on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7:00 p.m. ET against the Maine Red Claws, the Boston Celtics' affiliate. The home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m. against the Delaware Blue Coats, the Philadelphia 76ers' affiliate, at Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.
The 50-game schedule features 24 home games at the Westchester County Center, 24 road games, and an additional two games at the annual NBA G League Showcase.
The 24 home games at the Westchester County Center include seven weekend games and one day game on Thursday, Mar. 7, against the Windy City Bulls, the Chicago Bulls' affiliate.
The Westchester Knicks will be led by head coach Mike Miller, the reigning G League Coach of the Year, for the fourth consecutive season. Five current New York Knicks players (Ron Baker, Trey Burke, Damyean Dotson, Luke Kornet, Joakim Noah) all appeared in games for Westchester last season. Nigel Hayes (LA Lakers, Toronto, Sacramento), Xavier Rathan-Mayes (Memphis) and Devin Robinson (Washington) were all called-up from Westchester to NBA teams last season.
Forward Isaiah Hicks returns for a second season as a two-way player and will be joined in that role by undrafted rookie guard Allonzo Trier. Hicks and Luke Kornet were the Knicks' first ever two-way players last season. NBA teams are permitted to have two Two-Way players on their roster at any given time in addition to their 15-man regular season roster. Hicks and Trier will provide services primarily to the Westchester Knicks but can spend up to 45 days with New York, not including any time prior to the start of Westchester's training camp and the conclusion of its season.
