SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS, Jan. 13, 2011 - Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Antoine Walker came into the NBA together as lottery picks in 1996. Today, Abdur-Rahim, the third overall pick of the Vancouver Grizzlies that year, is the assistant general manager of the Sacramento Kings, here at the NBA D-League Showcase to scout potential prospects. Walker, the sixth overall pick of the Boston Celtics, is a member of the Idaho Stampede, trying to fight his way back to the NBA after a three-year hiatus from basketball.

Walker had another tough outing, finishing with six points on 2-for-13 shooting, but the Stampede (6-14) shot 47 percent from the field on its way to a 90-86 win over Springfield. In two games, Walker shot 4-for-26 from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds.

Idaho's Jermareo Davidson had a strong game for Idaho, finishing with 22 points and eight rebounds. Cedric Jackson, a three-time GATORADE Call-up in 2009-10, had another solid all-around game with 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

"I think consistency is a big thing for me, and also showing these scouts that I've matured a lot," said Davidson, the 36th overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft. "I'm just trying to bring the same things to the table each and every game, some scoring, some rebounding, some energy."

Based on his play here, Jackson stands a decent chance of making it back to the NBA at some point. He's an NBA-caliber athlete with good size for the point guard position and terrific intangibles.

Chas McFarland led Springfield (6-15) with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Scottie Reynolds added 11 points and six assists, while his old Big East foe Gavin Edwards chipped in with 13 points for the Armor.

Both teams finished up their play at the 2011 NBA D-League Showcase. Springfield hosts Erie on Saturday. Idaho returns to action Sunday at Dakota.
