Austin Powers Down Jam Session at 2011 NBA D-League Showcase

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS, Jan. 13, 2011 - Trey Johnson is a marked man, and not only by opposing defenses. The NBA Development League's leading scorer has been followed by a film crew throughout the 2011 NBA D-League Showcase, and will be the subject of a documentary.

Bakersfield didn't provide much of a climax for the film, losing the Showcase's final tilt to the Austin Toros, 117-104. Johnson did his part, scoring a game-high 31 points on 13-for-26 shooting, but it wasn't enough to overcome a season-high 62 first-half points from the Toros, who shot 53 percent from the floor for the game.

Lance Thomas and Marcus Cousin led seven Toros in double figures with 19 points each. Aubrey Coleman added 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Carldell "Squeaky" Johnson tallied 12 points and a game-high 10 assists.

"I think we a set a good tone early on defense, and then we found a nice rhythm offensively," said Thomas, a member of Duke's 2010 National Championship team. "This league has some really good players, and it's always a test night in and night out."

Jeremy Wise had 16 points, and Derrick Byars, the 42nd overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft, added 14 points for the Jam (12-9).

Bakersfield returns to action Saturday at Sioux Falls. Austin (9-11) plays at Utah Tuesday.
