SUGAR LAND, TX - The Sugar Land Skeeters today announced that WellCare | TexanPlus, a leading provider of Medicare Advantage health plans in Houston, will be the Skeeters' official jersey sponsor for the 2019 and '20 seasons.
The WellCare | TexanPlus logo will be displayed near the chest of the Skeeters home white jersey, road blue jersey and alternate black jersey throughout the team's 140-game regular season, along with any postseason games.
"We appreciate our partnership with the Sugar Land Skeeters," said Travis Christie, WellCare's state president in Texas. "Through their Silver Skeeters Club, for fans 55 and over, we want to encourage local seniors to become more socially active. Meaningful social relationships are essential to good health and well-being."
WellCare | TexanPlus will serve as the Skeeters' first official jersey sponsor since their inaugural season in 2012.
"We're extremely excited and proud to enter this partnership with WellCare | TexanPlus," said Skeeters owner Kevin Zlotnik. "We're looking forward to continuing our relationship with them and believe they are an exemplary sponsor for the Skeeters organization."
The Skeeters, winners of the 2018 Atlantic League Championship, begin their eighth season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball at Constellation Field. Individual tickets, season tickets and mini-plans for the 2019 season are currently available and can be purchased by visiting sugarlandskeeters.com, the TDECU Ticket Office at Constellation Field, or by calling the Skeeters at 281-240-4487.
