BAKERSFIELD - The Bakersfield Jam (24-17) shot 54.2% from the field and had 32 assists en route to a 113-98 win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (22-21) Friday night at the Jam Events Center. The Jam had seven players score in double figures.

Bakersfield led by four points (57-53) at halftime and maintained that lead for the rest of the game. The Jam extended their four point lead to as many as 15 in the second half, due to great shooting as the Jam shot 59 percent from the field in the second half compared to the Vipers 34.7%. Great ball movement by the Jam allowed them to get open shots, which built a great rhythm offensively and defensively throughout the game. Brian Butch recorded his sixth double-double in eight games with the Jam scoring 19 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and adding four assists as well. Trey Johnson recorded a double-double as well scoring 16 points and dishing out a team season-high 12 assists.
