BayHawks Defeat Mad Ants

FORT WAYNE, IN (March 18th, 2012) - The Erie BayHawks had five players finish in double figures to give them the 85-77 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants started the game on a 6-0 run forcing the BayHawks to take a quick timeout just 2 minutes into the game. The Mad Ants continued to put on the offensive pressure and outscored the BayHawks 23-17 in the first.
The Mad Ants outscored the BayHawks 25-11 in the second period to give them a 48-36 lead at the half.
The BayHawks held the Mad Ants to just 19% shooting from the floor in the third period to steal the lead. At the end of three periods the BayHawks led 64-59.
The BayHawks extended the lead to double figures in the final period and the Mad Ants could not come up with a comeback and fell to the BayHawks for the second game in the row.
The Mad Ants were led by Darnell Lazare and Stephen Graham who finished with 15 apiece. Detroit Pistons assignee Vernon Macklin finished 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Kyle Spain led all scorers with 23 points for the BayHawks.
Jeremy Green scored 17 points off the bench and Kyle Goldcamp added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
