VANCOUVER, BC: Charlie Welch hit a two-run home run and Ben Ramirez drove in three runs with a bases clearing double as the Everett AquaSox (15-16) ended a three-game losing streak by scoring five runs in the sixth inning for a 7-5 come from behind victory over the Vancouver Canadians (17-11).

The AquaSox jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. Randy Bednar was hit by a pitch and James Parker walked, both with the bases loaded, allowing Harry Ford and Ramirez to score the first two runs of the game and the Sox led 2-0.

Vancouver closed the gap to 2-1 when Riley Tirotta came home on a Josh Kasevich sacrifice bunt. The Canadians scored four more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on back-to-back two-run doubles from Cade Doughty and Michael Turconi. Doughty's hit scored Alan Roden and Dasan Brown to give the C's a 3-2 lead. Turconi drove in Gabby Martinez and Doughty for a 5-2 advantage.

The AquaSox then countered with a big frame of their own in the top of the sixth inning. Welch pulled Everett to within a 5-4 deficit with a two-run home run that scored Walking Cabrera. The AquaSox then loaded the bases for Ramirez who doubled off of the center field wall; scoring Parker, Colin Davis and Ford as the AquaSox reclaimed the lead, 7-5

It was then up to the bullpen to seal the win for the Sox. Tim Elliott, Jarod Bayless, Logan Rinehart and Michael Flynn closed out the game by pitching a combined 4.2 innings of scoreless baseball. Elliott was credited with the win and Flynn recorded his third save of the season. Flynn has appeared in 11 games this season and has yet to allow an earned run through 12 innings. Jordan Jackson also had a strong start for Everett, allowing only three hits, one run, three walks and striking out four batters over four innings.

WRAPPING IT UP: Ben Ramirez went three-for-five with two doubles and three RBI. He now leads the NWL with 11 doubles on the season, moving ahead of teammate Tyler Locklear in that category. Ramirez currently has an eight-game hitting streak and has a base hit in 12 of his last 13 games and 18 of his last 20 games and 22 of his last 25 games. Harry Ford walked twice to increase his league leading total to 30 on the season.
