WINDSOR, CO –  Colorado Eagles Goaltender Tyler Weiman picked up the Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week award for week four of the 2004-05 season, the Central Hockey League announced today.   Rookie goaltender Tyler Weiman has been phenomenal for Colorado this season, recording two more wins this weekend for the Eagles in back-to-back home games against Rio Grande Valley. On November 12th he made 27 saves in a 7-1 victory, then turned aside 31 shots the following night in a 6-0 win to pick up his CHL-leading second shutout of the year. The 20-year old Weiman hails from Lloydminster, Alberta, and was a fifth round selection (163rd overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft.   Weiman stopped 58 of 59 shots for a .983 save percentage through the back-to-back contests last weekend, bringing him to a 4-0-2 record on the young 2004-05 season.  He faced 31 shots in both of his shutouts this season, and in both contests the Eagles were outshot by their opponent.  The last time Weiman held a team scoreless was on October 23rd against Topeka in a 3-0 road win for the Eagles.   The Eagles hit the road this week on Friday, November 19th at Wichita and again on Saturday, November 20th at Topeka.  Following their brief stint on the road, the Eagles return home for six games in 11 days vs. Odessa, Wichita, Bossier-Shreveport, and Lubbock.  For tickets, call Comcast Tickets at (877) 544-TIXX or go online at www.comcasttix.com.   Visit http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/playerpage.html?playerid=369837&seasonid=591 for the complete statistics on Tyler Weiman this season.
