CONOR CASEY MAKES HIS 2012 DEBUT AGAINST CHIVAS USA: Colorado Rapids all-time leading scorer Conor Casey made his 2012 debut on Saturday night, entering the match against Chivas USA in the 90th minute for his first appearance since July 16, 2011. On that date, the forward tore his Achilles tendon at Seattle Sounders FC and has been out since recovering from the injury. He was subbed into the match this weekend for striker Omar Cummings and nearly scored in the 93rd minute - his close-range shot was saved by Chivas keeper Dan Kennedy and the rebound fell to Kamani Hill who put the Rapids up 4-0.

PICKENS TIES CANNON FOR RAPIDS SHUTOUT RECORD: With the 4-0 victory over Chivas USA on Saturday, goalkeeper Matt Pickens recorded his 25th clean sheet for the Colorado Rapids to tie Joe Cannon for the most all-time shutouts in Rapids history. It was his 36th overall shutout in MLS, and Pickens' performance helped the Rapids snap a three game losing streak before taking to the road for three away matches.

COLORADO RAPIDS VISIT FC DALLAS FOR SECOND ROAD MATCH THIS WEEK: This Saturday, May 6, the Colorado Rapids take on FC Dallas in their second road match of the week. The match is set for 5 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on Altitude and Galavision, with radio coverage on Mile High Sports Radio (93.7 FM, 1510 AM) and ESPN Deportes Radio (87.7). RAPIDS SNAP LOSING STREAK WITH 4-0 VICTORY: The Colorado Rapids snapped a three-game losing streak on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Chivas USA at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Forward and MLS newcomer Kamani Hill led the squad with a brace, while rookie Tony Cascio notched his second of the season and veteran midfielder Jeff Larentowicz scored his first of 2012 on a penalty kick. Rapids forward Conor Casey made his season debut, returning from an injury suffered on July 16 last year, as a 90th minute substitute and nearly scored a goal of his own that was saved by the keeper.

RAPIDS U-18 AND U-16 TEAMS GET BIG WINS AGAINST RIVALS: The Under-18 Colorado Rapids Academy team defeated local rivals Colorado Rush 6-2 on Saturday, led by four goals from Dillon Serna and a brace from Shane O'Neill, both of who have been training with the Colorado Rapids first team since preseason.
