ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 36-25-4-4 record (19-12-1-2 at home, 17-13-3-2 on the road, 2-4 in overtime, 3-4 in shootouts) and tied for fifth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and tied for tenth overall in the WHL...This week the ICE will conclude their regular season with two games at home and one on the road.

PLAYOFF PACKAGES AVAILABLE: 2012 playoff packages are now available to the general public at the KOOTENAY ICE Office...Eight game ticket packages are $136.00 for Adults, $112.00 for Seniors, $96.00 for Students, and $72.00 for Youth...Fans without season tickets or flex paks that wish to purchase playoff packages can do so with a $100 non-refundable deposit on 2012-2013 season tickets...For more information on playoff packages, phone 250-417-0322.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY has clinched a playoff spot for the 14th consecutive year, which is the longest active streak in the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE...The ICE will finish the 2011-2012 regular season with an above .500 record for the 13th consecutive season, which is the longest active streak in the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE... KOOTENAY will finish the regular season with a .500 or better road record for the 11th time in the last 13 seasons...The ICE need one more victory to reach 600 wins in franchise history (599-420- 122)...The ICE are tied for 1 4th overall on the power play in the WHL at 20.2%...KOOTENAY is fourth in the WHL in penalty killing at 81.1%...The ICE are 21-14-1-1 when outshooting their opponent, 14-7-3-2 when being outshot and 1-4-0-1 when tied...NATHAN LIEUWEN, who is first in the WHL in goals against average (2.38), is third in the LEAGUE in save percentage (.919)...LIEUWEN has set franchise record for the most wins by a goaltender with 85 (82 career wins was the old record held by TAYLOR DAKERS - 2003-2007)...SAM REINHART (27-32-59) is tied for fourth in the LEAGUE for points by a rookie...JAGGER DIRK leads the ICE in plus / minus with a plus 25...LUKE PHILP recorded his first WHL career goal on March 7 in MEDICINE HAT...JOEY LEACH needs to record three more points to reach 100 in his WHL career...JOE ANTILLA is second in career games played with the ICE with 337 (DALE MAHOVSKY - 344).

INJURY: Forward DREW CZERWONKA will be out of the KOOTENAY line up one to three weeks with a lower body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 69 games of the 2010-2011 season the ICE were 44-20-1-4, after 70 games 46-20-1-4 and after 71 games 46-20-1-4.
