
Weekend Preview: Titans Have Bye Weekend

The Titans have a bye week this weekend with play resuming next weekend with two home games against the Maryland Black Bears - a team the Titans faced back in mid-September to start the season. When the bye week is completed, the Titans have thirteen games before the Christmas break with seven of them on the road. They will play all the East Division teams except the Northeast Generals.
Titans Overview
The Titans currently lead the East Division with a 15 - 2 record for 30 points - most in the NAHL. They are coming off a 4 - 3 overtime home win against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. The Titans have won a franchise record ten straight games (the team won eight straight during the 2016-17 season). They have scored 84 goals (most in the league) and have allowed 44 (ninth best in the league). The Titans also lead the league on the power play have converted on 36.1% of their chances while they have prevented the opposition from scoring on the penalty kill 90.5% of the time (fifth best in the league).
Four of the top seven point leaders in the league wear a Titans uniform: Mitch Machlitt (11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points), Kyler Head (10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points), Kyle Jeffers (8 goals and 13 assists for 21 points) and Matt Cameron (9 goals and 11 assists for 20 points). Machlitt leads the team in goals with eleven (third overall in the league) as well as game winning goals with three. He also has a team high +15 +/-. Brody Medeiros has the most penalty minutes on the team with twenty-three.
The goaltending tandem of Patrick Pugliese (2.38 GAA and .920 SV%) and Arseni Sergeev (2.66 GAA and .920 SV%) have a combined 2.50 goals against average and .920 save percentage with one shutout (Pugliese).
The Titans so far have three Division I NCAA commitments this season: Medeiros (Army), Head and Gavin Gulash (Robert Morris University).
