Tomahawks Put Down Rebels 2-1

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. - The Johnstown Tomahawks faced off against the Jamestown Rebels for the first of three home games this week. The house was rocking thanks to a strong turnout by the Tomahawks faithful and guests from the PA Student Council Conference, hosted by local Westmont Hilltop School District.

The blue collar rivalry that's developed between Johnstown and Jamestown reignited in a game that saw plenty of hits, a few penalties, and a couple of fights. The Tomahawks defense played a tight game, limiting Jamestown to just 16 shots on goal.

Forward Noah Basarab returned from injury and made his presence felt, scoring Johnstown's two goals, both coming on the Tomahawks power play. Goaltender David Tomeo is now 4-1-0 in his last 5 games, with his lone loss coming in overtime.
