HUNTSVILLE, AL- Havoc will begin the regular season on the road for the twelfth straight year and second time in last three years the club will start the year in Peoria. Nolan Kaiser had two goals on the night as the team registered three overall in the middle frame.
Bryan Sullivan notched the game winner in a tie game with 85 seconds left in regulation.
Huntsville rushed home Friday night for Saturday Night Hockey in the Rocket City. The Havoc was unable to complete a third period comeback and fell to the Mississippi RiverKings 3-2. In the final frame, Bryan Sullivan and Rob Simpson recorded their second goals in as many nights respectively.
Tyler French finished the weekend assisting in five of the seven overall.
Havoc vs. Rivermen This marks the fourth year the two teams will meet. Overall the Havoc will take on the Rivermen five times on the year all within the first five weeks of the regular season. Opening weekend also represents the first of two trips Huntsville travel to Illinois.
The team to score first has gone on to win 17 of the 20 matchups while seven have been decided by a goal.
Huntsville has ten multi-goal periods against Peoria over the last three years including four last season.
The Havoc has points in four games against Peoria with zero days rest, they will take on the Rivermen back to back night's this weekend.
Stuart Stefan is the only player to have played Peoria each of the last three years. He has seven goals and five assists overall against the Rivermen. Other returners in the Havoc lineup include Nolan Kaiser, who registered a goal and two assists last year, as well as Justin Tateson, who recorded an assist.
At the Peoria Civic Center The two-game weekend series marks games ten and eleven for the Havoc in Illionis over the last four years. The Havoc has standings points in two of the last four outings to the Peoria Civic Center. In the three-year season series, Huntsville has power play goals in four of nine meetings including a three-goal man-advantage outing in 2013.
