Huntsville Havoc News Release
The Huntsville Havoc got off to a great start with wins over the Macon Trax on Friday and the Knoxville Ice Bears on Saturday.
Aaron Lewis, Doug Merrell, Derek McKinlay and James Patterson all scored goals in the 4-1 win over Macon. Corey Dean, Jessi Otis, Mike Degurse â 2, Patterson and Buccella all has assists. Matt Carmichael had 41 saves to get the win.
The Havoc trailed for most of the game against Knoxville before getting two goals from Lewis and Shawn Breaker in the third period to beat the Ice Bears 2-1. Tim Plett, Steve Howard, Nick Field and McKinaly all had assists. Carmichael had 42 saves to get his second win of the season.
Coach Gibson's Corner
On the first weekend of play: "I am very pleased in winning both games on opening weekend. It was the first time that I got to see this group play together. I saw a lot of potential with this team, but we are far from where we want to be. We have to continue to get better so we have a lot of work to do."

Thursday, November 4 â Bill Penney Toyota/Mitsubishi presents "Hockey Night in Huntsville" as the Havoc hosts Jacksonville. Enjoy $2.00 beers and $1.00 hot dogs and sodas.
Monday, November 8 â The Huntsville Havoc will host the 1st Annual Havoc Invitational Golf Tournament at Gunter's Landing Golf Course. Proceeds will benefit the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
