Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release

After a week of eating seafood and taking in the ocean air out on the east coast, the Riders are back in town and ready for a rematch against the Toronto Argonauts, albeit one day later than planned.

This week the Green and White celebrates all things family with a loaded slate of unique in-game experiences and pre-game events! Game time is now at 5:00 p.m. on SUNDAY, with gates opening at 3:30 p.m. Your Saturday ticket will automatically move over to Sunday with no action required! Just show up at Mosaic Stadium with your friends and family and scan in like usual.

Watch and listen for our junior PA announcer, junior in-game host, junior anthem singer and junior cheer team coach as they help out the Club this week!

Get to the stadium early, as the first 5000 fans between the ages of 3 and 14 will receive green Rider slime at the gate!

At halftime, take a break from watching receivers and focus your attention on retrievers as the Extreme Dog Show takes the field! From high flying acrobatics to 100-yard frisbee catches, this performance will have it all!

The fully licensed Coors Light Party in the Park is back this week and will have some special guests! Gainer will be joined by characters such as Spiderman, Cinderella and more! The fun-for-all-ages event begins at 2:00 p.m. and will have inflatables, face painting, festival hair braiding, appearances from the 620 CKRM Cheer Team, the Coors Light Stage with DJ Tolley T and so much more!

Enjoy the game with the whole family with our new Family Ticket Packages! Starting at $99.00, you can bring your family of four and take in all the events in and around the stadium! Choose from several different sections and pick your favourite view. Keep an eye out for special family-friendly food bundles can be found for as low $34.00!

After the game, fans are welcome to come down to the field to have fun with their family and friends! Once players and coaches have cleared the field, fans can get field access from Pil Country or Section 124. Come take advantage of this rare opportunity to create even more memories after the game!

Reminders:

Your phone is your ticket! Don't forget to download the Rider App, powered by SaskTel, onto your smartphone and have your digital tickets ready before you come to Mosaic Stadium. We promise it's easy, but we created a tutorial video here and have a full FAQ and written tutorial at Riderville.com, just in case!

Come prepared with your clear bag. The Club has moved to a clear bag policy for all Saskatchewan Roughrider games in 2021 and beyond. Each fan, including children, can bring in one clear bag sized 12" x 6" x 12" or smaller. More details on the clear bag policy can be found here.

In transit? Whether you arrive at the stadium on four wheels or two, there are options available! The bike valet opens at 3:00 p.m. on game day and is staffed by volunteers through REAL. The bikes are inside a fenced compound that is monitored throughout its hours of operation. Please note that your bike must be picked up within one hour after the game ends. The bike valet is located by the South East exterior of the Stadium by Gate 4.

In addition, Rider Transit presented by WorkSafe Saskatchewan is back! That's right, free guest bus transit is available from various locations across the city (Southland Mall, University of Regina, Warehouse district, the Delta Hotel, Victoria Ave and Scarth Street) and at a NEW north end location: The Turvey Centre, starting two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff time.

Week 7:

Through six weeks, it's clear that the running game is firing on all cylinders for the Green and White. With 754 yards on the ground through six games, the Riders lead the league in rushing by almost 200 yards over the next closest team. Look for running backs Jamal Morrow and Frankie Hickson to add to that total in Week 7 with an assist from the offensive line and fullbacks.

Kian Schaffer-Baker has emerged as one of the Riders most reliable receiving options, recording at least three catches and 30 yards in every game this season. The second year wideout leads the team and is seventh in the CFL with 370 receiving yards. With three majors, Schaffer-Baker has already surpassed his touchdown total from a season ago.

The linebacker unit has played as advertised with Darnell Sankey, Larry Dean, and Derrick Moncrief leading the way. Heading into this week, Sankey is tied for the league lead with 32 defensive tackles while Dean is just behind him with 31 tackles of his own. Moncrief is tied for the league lead with three interceptions in six games.
