
Week 16 Preview: Blizzard Look to Clinch Home Playoff Game

With their win in Bismarck North Dakota last Saturday, the Green Bay Blizzard have clinched a playoff spot for the first time in 7 years. They will be traveling to Cedar Rapids for a game against the River Kings on Saturday. This will be the first of back to back games with Cedar Rapids.
A win by the Blizzard on Saturday or a loss by the Tucson Sugar Skulls who play at Arizona on Saturday, will clinch a home playoff game. This game would be played at the Resch Center on the weekend of June 21st.
Cedar Rapids have struggled this season but have played hard. They have only won 1 game this season but have been close in many of their games. The lost last Saturday to the undefeated Arizona Rattlers by the score of 56 to 0, but according to Blizzard head coach, Corey Roberson, played very hard and can't be overlooked.
The River Kings are led by Wide receivers Marquel Wade and Jordan Smith each have 8 touchdown catches and running back Nathaniel Chavious has rushed for 13 TD's. Defensively linebacker Malik Slater leads the team in tackles and defensive back Nick Brassell has 2 of the teams 3 interceptions.
The Blizzard are led by quarterback Lenorris Footman who is 4 th in the league in passing yards per game and 3 rd in the league in rushing yards per game. Linebacker Dayshaun Taylor is 5 th in the league in total tackles and Bakari Triggs is tied for 3 rd in the league with 5 interceptions.
