Playoff Hunt Continues for Danger Tomorrow Night
June 5, 2019 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Nebraska Danger News Release
GRAND ISLAND, NE - With a Bye week in the rearview, the Nebraska Danger are now looking to keep their playoff hopes alive in a Thursday Night Football matchup in San Diego.
The last time the Danger were in action, they suffered a tough loss to the Quad City Steamwheelers. The entire game was a game of cat and mouse, and with the W on the line, Danger place kicker Diego Marquez hit a game-tying field goal to send the game to overtime. When the dust settled, it was the Steamwheelers who came out victorious.
New Danger signee Mike Tatum is looking to take a load off of Nebraska's backfield. The veteran wide receiver's presence on the field will serve as a key weapon. With playoffs looming, Nebraska's defense will need to be almost perfect to secure a spot in the IFL playoffs. The Danger D will also see their most talented pass rusher, Chris Martin, back on the field against the Strike Force. Martin has wreaked havoc on opposing offenses all season, racking up a league-leading 8 sacks in the process.
The Nebraska Danger @ San Diego Strike Force game will kick off June 6 at 9:05 CDT and will be streamed on the IFL's YouTube channel.
