
IFL Week 15 Players of the Week Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 15 of the 2019 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lorenzo Brown (QB, Sioux Falls Storm) The Sioux Falls Storm throttled the San Diego Strike Force 60-7 in Week 15. Paced by a strong defensive effort, Storm veteran QB Lorenzo Brown capitalized on many short fields to help the team take down San Diego. Brown completed 8 of 12 passes for 79 yards and five touchdowns. He also led the Storm in rushing with 60 yards and one touchdown on just five attempts. Brown had one of the most exciting plays of the game as late in the first quarter he burst through the Strike Force's defense and rushed for a 40 yard touchdown. Brown ranks third in the IFL in passing yards (1867) and passing touchdowns (41). The Storm travel to face the Iowa Barnstormers in a matchup that has strong playoff game implications in Week 16.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nikolaus D'Avanzo (DL, Arizona Rattlers) The Arizona Rattlers had one of the best defensive performances of all time in Week 15 as the team shut out the Cedar Rapids River Kings 56-0. The Rattlers held the River Kings to less than 100 yards of total offense as well. The Rattlers were led by the dominating up front presence of DL Nikolaus D'Avanzo. D'Avanzo disrupted the River Kings offense all night long as he accounted for eight total tackles, 2.5 sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, one pass breakup and one blocked kick. D'Avanzo and the Arizona Rattlers host the Tucson Sugar Skulls in Week 16.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Derek Vacha (K, Green Bay Blizzard) The Green Bay Blizzard clinched their first playoff berth since 2012 in Week 15 as the team defeated the Bismarck Bucks 41-10. In his first ever game for the Blizzard, Vacha provided a perfect presence as he converted both of his field goal attempts and all five of his extra point attempts. He totaled 11 points for the Blizzard in the victory. The Green Bay Blizzard look to try an secure a home playoff game this week as the team takes on the Cedar Rapids River Kings on Saturday night.
