
WDUN NewsTalk 550 to Broadcast Gladiators Games

Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators, in conjunction with Jacobs Media, announced today that they have agreed to a broadcast partnership for the 2004-05 ECHL season.
"We're excited to be working with WDUN and Jacobs Media during the upcoming season," said Gladiators General Manager Steve Chapman. "They have a great group of stations that will give our fans a great way to follow the Gladiators during the season."
Jacobs Media will broadcast a Gladiators "Game of the Week" throughout the season on Jacobs Media's WDUN NewsTalk 550, with selected games aired on SportsRadio 1240 The Ticket. Gladiators' Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Dustin Bixby will provide the play-by-play for the broadcasts.
Located in Gainesville, Georgia, Jacobs Media owns and operates two AM radio stations, WDUN NewsTalk 550, all sports talk, SportsRadio 1240 TheTicket, as well as FM station MAJIC 1029 North Georgia's Best Oldies, 102.9. Jacobs Media also operates online newspaper AccessNorthGa.com.

In addition to carrying a "Game of the Week" on the radio, Jacobs Media will also carry the broadcast of all 72 of the Gladiators regular season games as well as all Kelly Cup Playoff games via www.WDUN.com.
A broadcast schedule for the first half of the season has been set with the Gladiators October 31st contest against the Greenville Grrrowl as the first radio broadcast of the season. The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators begin their second season on the road October 22nd, before hosting in-state rival Augusta on Friday, October 29th at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties. The Gladiators play all 36 home games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center located on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth and are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.
