Macri Assigned From Bridgeport

Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced that defenseman Vince Macri has been assigned by Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. Macri joined the Bullies at training camp this afternoon and will accompany the club to Las Vegas tomorrow.

Macri, 23, signed a contract with the New York Islanders on August 30 and has spent the past two weeks at training camp with Bridgeport. The Durham, NH native wrapped up a four-year collegiate career at Brown University by posting career-highs in 2003-04 with 6 goals and 15 points to co-lead all Bears defensemen in scoring. His 15 points also ranked 14th among all ECAC defensemen. After completing his collegiate career in March, Macri played three games for the Sound Tigers at the end of the 2004 season and notched 1 assist.

In other news, the Bullies have released forward Geoff Rollins and goaltender John Larnerd.

The Bullies will battle the Las Vegas Wranglers in pre-season action at 10:05PM on Friday and Saturday from the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Catch both broadcasts live through B2 Networks at www.boardwalkbullies.com.

Opening Weekend 2004 at Historic Boardwalk Hall is just around the corner as the Bullies battle heated rivals Trenton at 7:05PM on Friday, October 29 and Reading at 7:05PM on Saturday, October 30.
