October 6, 2010 - Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL)
Milwaukee Wave News Release

MILWAUKEE (September 17, 2010)- The Milwaukee Wave have re-signed the veteran trio of Troy Dusosky, Josh Rife and Joe Hammes for the 2010-11 season. The three defenders combined to play 53 of 60 games and were instrumental in winning the MISL regular season championship.

Adding depth to that line will be Milwaukee's newest acquisition, defender Evan McNeley. McNeley comes off the heels of a championship-winning season with La Raza de Monterrey. The 27-year-old Washington native has recorded at least 25 blocks in each of the past three seasons, including a career-high 38 last season. He played two years of college soccer at Oregon State University and was named to the Pac-10's Newcomer of the Year squad as an honorable mention in 2003.

"We are very excited about having Evan's tenacity in the back line and his ability to go forward will be a big addition to our team this year," says Head Coach Keith Tozer. "We are excited to have these returning veterans. All three have been mainstays in indoor soccer and along with McNeley gives us a great core of veteran defenders."

Welcoming him to the squad will be established defender Troy Dusosky. This will be Dusosky's 10th season with Milwaukee and 15th overall as a professional. Last season, he played in 17 games scoring 24 points and tallying a career high for a 20-game season with 13 assists. He was named MISL's Defender of the Month in November.

The 35-year-old is three 2-point goals short of 100 for his career and 11 blocks short of 500. He is sixth on the Wave's all-time career list for blocks (304), seventh in 3-point goals (18) and tenth in games played (240).

This year, Josh Rife will look to continue his stellar debut with the Wave last season. Rife, 30, led the league with 36 blocked shots and was named Defensive Player of the Month twice, in January and then in March, in his first season with Milwaukee. The Hawaiian was a force on both sides of the ball scoring 28 points in 20 games to go along with his impressive block totals. He notched a team-high four power play goals and also tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals.

Joe Hammes, a Cedarburg, Wisc., native, will be coming back for his seventh season with the Wave. The 31-year-old posted a career-high 31 blocks last season to go along with his two game-winning goals. The 16th overall pick by the Wave in the 2003 Amateur Draft is 13 points short of 100 for his career. He has been a part of two championship teams during his stint in Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team is the longest-running professional soccer team in the country.
