THE SKINNY:

Meeting Rockford for the sixth and final time this season, Milwaukee looks to tie up the season series at three games apiece with a win on Sunday. These two teams are on very different slopes going into the match. The Wave is riding a four-game winning streak and sits atop the standings in the MISL by a full game, while the Rampage has put up six straight losses and has an uphill battle left to qualify for the postseason. As a result of the losing streak Rockford cut six players this past weekend, including second-leading scorer Semir Mesanovic. Milwaukee has won the past two matchups against Rockford and is 1-1 at home against the Rampage.

The Rampage have the poorest attack in the league, scoring only 139 points, 24 fewer than the closest team and 47 fewer than Milwaukee. Rockford did score 10 last Sunday against the Wave, the first time it scored in double-digits since Jan. 23, when it put up 22 against Philadelphia. Since then, Rockford has only averaged 5.2 points per game and lost all six games it played. The Wave, on the other hand, has scored in double digits in three of their last four games. But the winning streak is mostly a testament to the defense, ranked first in the MISL and only allowing 9.75 points per game.
