ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford Rampage acquired Philadelphia KiXX forward Leo Gibson, and Philadelphia in turn receives a future player consideration from the Rampage, the team announced Thursday.
During the 2009-2010 Major Indoor Soccer League season, Gibson has contributed seven two-point goals, an assist and 15 points in nine games.

Before the 2009-2010 season, Gibson scored eight goals and had eight assists for the Detroit Ignition in 2008-2009 as the team won the Xtreme Soccer League title.
Gibson's prelude to indoor soccer included a trial opportunity with Major League Soccer's Dallas Burn in 2004. He signed with the United Soccer Leagues' First Division's Minnesota Thunder in 2005 but missed the entire season because of an injury. He wound up playing in 48 matches for the Thunder between 2006 and 2008, registering two goals.
The Rampage (6-10) hit the road for their final four regular-season matches, taking on the first-place Milwaukee Wave (10-6) at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at the U.S. Cellular Arena. Rockford is 3-3 on the road this season and is looking to win the season series against Milwaukee, currently sporting a 3-2 record head-to-head against the Wave.
