Milwaukee Wave News Release
Grab your valentine and come cheer on your Six-Time Champion MKE Wave Professional Soccer Team as they take on the Syracuse Silver Knights, Saturday afternoon, 1pm at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
MW: Thought's going into this weekend vs. Syracuse?
GO: "On paper and individually as players Syracuse is one of the strongest teams in the league," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "Their record doesn't indicate that but we know it's going to be a very difficult game.
MW: What's more important? Keeping this current winning streak alive or playing better as a team?
GO: "I think it's both. We want to keep the momentum we have going at the same time we have a couple of players that are banged up right now that would like to get rest. Guys are competing for spots come playoff time. Nick and I still have some very tough decisions to make as far as who is going to be on the playoff roster of 14. If we do decide to rest players this weekend and get them healthy for the playoffs, it's another opportunity for another player to show us what they can do."
The Wave have been victorious every time they've played Syracuse (8-0) and have outscored the Silver Knights 114-76 in the all-time series.
