Lancers to Play Two this Weekend

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers (7-8) return home to the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial this weekend for a Valentine's Day clash with the Harrisburg Heat (1-14) on Saturday. The home match will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. The early start time for the Lancer-Heat match won't give Rochester must time for rest as they will take on the Eastern Division leading Baltimore Blast (13-2) on Friday night at 7:35 p.m. before returning home that night.
The Lancers are currently in third place in the Eastern Division, one game behind second-place Syracuse. Entering the weekend's matchups the Lancers hold a three and a half game lead over Detroit for the third and final playoff berth. Riding a two game winning streak, the Lancers will take on the Heat for the third time this season with Rochester winning both contests easily, the first 11-4 and the second by a 21-12 margin. Harrisburg recorded their lone win a week ago, defeating the St. Louis Ambush 25-12.
The first 1,000 ladies through the gates for Saturday's match will receive a free Lancer Lips lip balm courtesy of Delta Sonic.
The Lancers and Blast will kick off for the third time this season. The last meeting in Baltimore saw Rochester push the Blast to their limit, eventually surrendering a late three pointer before falling on the road. The Lancers will be looking for their first win in Baltimore on Friday night. After winning their first 13 matches of the season, the Blast have dropped their last two matches to Las Vegas and San Diego respectively.
