Wave in Two Playoff Rally Events

(Milwaukee, WI) Although the Milwaukee Wave does not play this week – the team's first Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) playoff game is Friday, April 16, 7:35 PM at U.S. Cellular Arena – Coach Keith Tozer's team will be participating in a couple of playoff rally events Thursday (4/8) and Saturday (4/10).

Thursday's event (April 8) takes place at Champps in Brookfield (1240 Moreland Rd., 262-797-6600) from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Sponsored by Labatt USA, the "Champps Playoff Rally" will give fans the opportunity to meet and greet players, get autographs, and register to win playoff tickets and other special prizes. Admission is free, and there will also be drink specials on Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue Light. Tickets for the upcoming Wave playoff game will also be on sale.

Saturday (April 10), the Wave will be on hand for "Wave Day at Miller Park" as the Brewers take on the Houston Astros at 1:05 PM. The team will be honored for capturing its third straight MISL Regular Season Title (Milwaukee finished 27-9 to win the regular season crown) in a pre-game ceremony prior to the game. Coach Tozer will also toss out the opening pitch as part of the festivities. H2O – the Wave's performance dance team – will also perform during the contest.

**Fans with any Wave ticket stub can purchase half-price tickets for the April 10th Brewers game by: presenting the 4/2 ticket stub at Miller Park windows 7-12; ordering tickets over the phone and mentioning "Wave Day at Miller Park;" and purchasing tickets online at www.milwaukeebrewers.com (click "tickets," click "Buy Tickets Now," click April 10th on the calendar and enter "Wave" into coupon window.)

Fans with a Brewers ticket stub from any game during the Houston series (April 9-11) can also receive a $3 discount per ticket on any Wave ticket for the April 16th match-up. The first 5,000 fans in attendance on April 16th will also receive a "Wave Rally Rag" courtesy of Wauwatosa Savings Bank. The "Wave Rally Rags" are also good for future ticket discounts to the 2004 MISL Champion Series should Milwaukee advance past the semi-final round.

The Wave's first playoff game will be a one-game semi-final match against an opponent yet to be determined (Philadelphia, Kansas City, or Cleveland) on Friday, April 16, 7:35 PM at U.S. Cellular Arena. The winner of that contest will advance to the best-of-five MISL Championship Series beginning the following weekend. Individual play-off tickets ($20, $16, and $14) as well as Wave Playoff 4-Packs (two dollar discount per ticket) are available through the Wave Office at 510 W. Kilbourn Ave. (Suite B), or by calling 414-224-WAVE (9283). Anyone who purchases a Wave Playoff 4-Pack will also receive two tickets for the Milwaukee Wave United A-League (outdoor) season opener on Friday, May 14, 7:05 PM v. the Edmonton Aviators at Uihlein Soccer Park.

Wave United to Open 2004 A-League Campaign on May 14, 7:05 PM at Uihlein Soccer Park: Milwaukee Wave United, the Wave's A-League (outdoor) team will kick-off the 2004 season on Friday, May 14, 7:05 PM when it hosts the Edmonton Aviators at Uihlein Soccer Park. Coach Art Kramer's team, which finished the 2003 campaign with the league's best regular season record (18-10-0, 54 points) will once again feature many players from the current Wave indoor squad during the upcoming outdoor season. Wave / Wave United Camps: The 2004 Wave / Wave United Summer Camp Program begins the week of June 14 with camps at five different locations. All told, the 2004 Camp Program will include 57 different sessions in 33 locations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
