Wave announces 2004-05 regular season MISL schedule

(Milwaukee, WI) The Milwaukee Wave, a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced its 2004-05 regular season schedule today featuring 20 home dates at U.S. Cellular Arena. The Wave, which is getting ready for its 21st season (its fourth in the MISL) will open the campaign on the road against the first-year Chicago Storm on Saturday, October 23, 7 PM at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, IL. Milwaukee will host the Storm in its home opener on Friday, October 29, 7:05 PM at U.S. Cellular Arena, with a post-game concert featuring "The Love Monkeys" following immediately after the contest.

All told, the Wave's 40-game slate includes eight games (four home, four away) against Central Division rivals Chicago and St. Louis. Milwaukee will also play teams in the Eastern (Baltimore, Cleveland, Philadelphia) and Western Divisions (Kansas City, Monterrey, San Diego) four times each in a two home, two away format.

Some other notable home dates on this season's schedule include:

Friday, November 19, 7:05 PM v. Monterrey - Hispanic Heritage Night and Send-Off Night for the U.S. Futsal Team to the FIFA World Championships in Chinese Taipei (November 21 – December 5). The U.S Team is coached by Wave Coach Keith Tozer and features Milwaukee players Greg Howes, Todd Dusosky, Johnny Torres, and Pat White.

Saturday, December 4, 6:05 PM v. Chicago – Annual Teddy Bear Toss.

Friday, December 17, 7:05 PM v. Baltimore – First visit this season for the two-time MISL Champions.

Friday, December 31, 1:05 PM v. Chicago – Annual New Year's Eve Day Game.

Sunday, February 13, 1:05 PM v. San Diego – First visit of the season for legendary goalkeeper Victor Nogueira

Sunday, March 13, 1:05 PM v. Kansas City – Green Uniform Day.
