Watson Returns from to Eagles from AHL

WINDSOR, CO. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced today that defenseman Cliff Watson has been returned to the Eagles after receiving a call-up with the AHL's Stockton Heat. Watson has posted 12 goals and 18 assists in 44 ECHL games this season, while notching one assist in eight AHL games with the Heat, San Jose Barracuda and Utica Comets.
Watson was named to the 2018 ECHL All-Star Team and has posted three goals and two assists in eight games with the Eagles after being acquired in a trade with the Utah Grizzlies in February. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound blueliner is in his rookie season, after completing a four-year career at Michigan Tech, spending his final two seasons as team captain. Watson highlighted his collegiate career by helping lead the Huskies to a WCHA Championship in 2017.
Colorado returns to action when they travel to Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas for Game One of their Opening Round Series of the Kelly Cup Playoffs against the Wichita Thunder on Sunday, April 15th at 3:05pm MT.
