COLUMBIA, SC (September 28, 2005) - The Columbia Inferno announce that all home and most road games will be available to watch via broadband on the B2 Networks. Inferno fans can purchase these online webcasts through the teams website at www.columbiainferno.com. Through a partnership with B2 Networks LLC, fans can follow a link from www.columbiainferno.com to watch Inferno games during the 2005-06 season. In order to be able to watch the game live, fans must have a high-speed internet connection (Cable, T1 or DSL) and Windows Media Player 9 or higher.
"Anything we can do as an organization to further expose the Midlands to professional ice hockey will only enhance our citizens understanding of this fine sport," said General Manager Rick Woodard.
By joining B2's growing list of partners, the Inferno has become the 23rd team in the ECHL to have their games broadcast by the growing broadband company.
"B2 Networks is very happy to add the Columbia Inferno to our growing network," said Greg P. Bell, B2 Networks Owner and CEO. "This season B2 will broadcast games from every building in the South Division and look forward to giving Inferno fans an exciting new way to follow their favorite team."
The Inferno opens their season on Friday, October 21st against the Greenville Grrrowl. Season, group and partial game tickets are on sale by calling 256-7825. The Inferno will host two preseason games on Friday, October 14th against the Charlotte Checkers and also on Tuesday, October 18th against the Augusta Lynx.
