PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL will host their first annual Ice Breaker Party presented by Texas Roadhouse from 12PM-4PM on Saturday, October 8 inside the Casino Arizona Pavilion at America West Arena.

Fans will have a unique opportunity to tour the arena and purchase season tickets by selecting their actual seats in the building right on the spot. Everyone who takes a tour of America West Arena will receive a free RoadRunners t-shirt. Head Coach and General Manager Ron Filion, Captain Dean Tiltgen, and other RoadRunners players will be on hand to take pictures and sign autographs, while the RoadRunners new entertainment squad, the "Puck Patrol" will make their inaugural appearance.

"This is a great event to help kick off the season," said RoadRunners COO Ray Delia. "People have been waiting years for the RoadRunners to return to Phoenix, and there is no better way to reintroduce the team to the Valley than to open up beautiful America West Arena before the season begins and give the fans a chance to meet our players, coaches, and staff."

Food and drinks will be provided courtesy of Texas Roadhouse, and prizes will be given away throughout the afternoon.

The Phoenix RoadRunners will commence their first training camp two days later on Monday, October 10.

RoadRunners professional hockey returns to downtown Phoenix at 7PM on Saturday, October 22 when the Utah Grizzlies visit America West Arena in the ECHL season opener for both teams. Season tickets for all 36 home games are on sale now and start as low as $252. For more information call (602) 462-GOAL, or visit www.phxroadrunners.com.
