
Jesse Bennefield Agrees to Terms

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls and right-winger Jesse Bennefield have agreed to terms for the 2005-06 season, head coach Martin St. Amour announced on Thursday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Bennefield, 24, notched 46 points (29g, 17a) and 144 penalty minutes in 23 games last season for Mount Royal College (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference). His 46 points led the entire ACAC in 2004-05 and helped earn him First Team All-ACAC honors.
The 6-foot, 195-pound native of Calgary, Alberta led Mount Royal College in penalty minutes in 2004-05 and was second in points for the team in 2003-04.
The Gulls open their third season in the ECHL Friday, Oct. 21 in Alaska and open their home schedule Saturday, Nov. 5 against Stockton. Season ticket packages are currently on sale.
