Washington Wolfpack Roster Announced

April 26, 2024 - Arena Football One (AF1)
Washington Wolfpack News Release

This is the opening day roster for the Washington Wolfpack.

Quarterback

First Name Last Name Position Height (ft) Weight (lbs) College

Jacob Ta'ase QB 5'11 205 Central Washingtin University

Lamarcus Caradine QB/WR/DB 6'0 190 Belhaven University

Bobby Froehlich QB 6'4 230 Wittenberg University

Jacob Ta'ase will be the starting quarterback for the Wolfpack. Ta'ase started college as a wide reciever so that gives and idea to his athletic ability. The Wolfpack have an established player with Ta'ase and some interesting options behind him. Froehlich is young and Caradine is more of a weapon than a QB.

#Wide Receiver/Defensive Back

First Name Last Name Position Height (ft) Weight (lbs) College

JR Nelson WR/DB 6'1 190 University of Montana

Austin Joyner WR/DB 6'0 197 University of Washington

Brandon Wellington WR/LB 6'0 225 University of Washington

Aron Mulugheta WR/DB 6'2 205 New Mexico State University

Tanner Fahey WR/DB 6'1 185 Valley City State University

Caleb Brown WR/DB 5'10 165 Idaho State University

Lamarcus Caradine WR/DB 6'0 190 Belhaven University

Ijaaz Rashid WR/DB 6'0 203 Wayne State College

Vincent Wilkerson II WR/DB 6'2 208 University of Memphis/Delta State University

This is where the Wolfpack get some strength in their roster. JR Nelson, Wilkerson, Joyner and Mulugheta are all very exprience pass catchers. Wellington is likely going to be one of the top linebackers in the league. This room is indrecibly deep and should be one of the better units in the league.

Wide Receiver/Fullback/Linebacker

First Name Last Name Position Height (ft) Weight (lbs) College

Deshon Williams TE/DE 6'3 240 University of Washington

Bryan Sarnowski FB/LB 6'0 220 Cerritos College

Baxter Patrick FB/LB 6'2 195

Jayson Jackson FB/LB 6'1 253 San Bernadino Valley College

Lead by DeShon WIlliams, fans may remember his name. Williams had the chance to play with the Seattle Seahawks. He is impresive. Williams has the size, speed, ability, and exprience to play not only tightend but defensive end and get after the QB. Sarnowski and Jackson are built like a body builders and not team will want to tackle or get tackled by either of them.

Lineman

First Name Last Name Position Height (ft) Weight (lbs) College

Ilia Nikitin OL/DL 6'2 281

Maksim Kuzyberdin OL/DL 6'5 290

Tank Brewster OL/DL 6'2 245 Simon Fraser University

Raphael Turner OL/DL 5'9 260 Campbellsville University

Marcus Pressley OL/DL 6'5 275 Shasta Junior College

Junior Ausage OL/DL 6'5 330 College of Siskiyous (JUCO)

The lineman will be some what of a work in progress. The Wolfpack decided to go with a smaller and quicker unit. But unlike some of the other teams that opted to go this route, the Wolfpack are A LOT smaller. This may not be a bad thing and ultimately if could become an advantage to be small and agile but they will face some teams where the entire line averages 50 pounds heavier than theirs.

Kicker

First Name Last Name Position Height (ft) Weight (lbs) College

Wyatt Paul K 5'10 175 University of Southern California (USC)
