Rapid City Marshals News Release
This is the opening day roster for the Rapid City Marshals.

One of if not the oldest quarterback and player in the league, Brian Vilanueva will be starting for the Marshals. Vilanueva is a long time vet. He has played in countless leagues and on mutiple teams. He is a savvy player and will help set the foundation for this roster. This roster is built on high character, who are strong leaders, Brian is no different. Sheehan is a younger player who can model his game after Vilanueva. He has played with the Greenbay Blizzard in years past so there is some exprience to the indoor game but he is relavtively raw to the game.

Both Lewis and Brown offer great size and exprience. Lewis will be tasked with tagging the taller/bigger wideouts while brown will play more of the underneath routes with his size and speed.

Shaq Curenton will be a player to watch. In a previous article he was mentioned as one of the "Players to Watch." Shaq has played for the Blizzard and Sugar Skulls. Hes been and IFL player of the week. While he has not had a huge role in the past. The Marshals are looking to make him a focal point of the passing attack. Taylor will be coming over from the Blizzard with Curenton. He is an exprience veteran of the indoor game. in his last full season he averaged about 50 yards per game. Trevon Sidney will bring in is coming in from two quality division 1 programs, USC and University of Illinios.

This group is lead by Ezekiel Noa. Like Vilanueva on the offensive side, Noa will be the defensive leader. Compared to some of the other teams in the West, this group is has extreme size and speed. Everyone of them are bulky players who have versitlity. They can shift from fullback to down lineman to mac and defesnive end. Shon King will be able to disguise who is blitzing and who is coming off the edge. Offensively everyone of them has the size to create a mismatch either in the box or in the air. Tim Lukas standing at 6-4 will surely be a go to weapon for Brian from the start.

The Marshals offensive and defensive line is built different than the other teams in the West. It will be smaller and quicker. Jakobe Buford is the only player over 6-4, but even he is slim for his height. Shay Roberts has played with the Marshals previously and also brings coaching exprience. Frazier has played with the Division 1 power house Alabama so he has the pedigree. This unit will be lighter than most teams but that should give them a speed advantage to getting up and down the field.
