
Washington Wild Things Host Annual Tryout

Washington, Pa. - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, hosted an annual open tryout today at CONSOL Energy Park.
Wild Things hopefuls from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Connecticut attended the Saturday morning tryout. Manager Darin Everson and coach Bob Bozzuto put the players through hitting, fielding and pitching drills.
The team reports to CONSOL Energy Park this week, with practices beginning on May 6. CONSOL Energy Park will be open during camp for fans wanting to catch an early glimpse of this season's team. The first exhibition game will be Saturday, May 8, at 7"05 p.m. versus the Florence Freedom. All tickets are $5.
The Wild Things open their ninth season on May 21 at CONSOL Energy Park when they host the Oakland County Cruisers. Individual tickets are on sale now on the team Web site, as well as in person and by phone during Box Office hours. Group outings and season ticket packages are available at the box office or by calling 724-250-9555.
