
Washington Spirit Waives Defender Josephine Chukwunonye

BOYDS, MD - The Washington Spirit announced today that the club has waived defender Josephine Chukwunonye.
"We would like to thank Josephine for all she did for the Spirit and wish her good luck," said Spirit general manager and head coach Jim Gabarra.
Chukwunonye played in two games for the Spirit, starting in one, after joining the team midway through the 2015 NWSL season. The Nigerian international came to the Spirit after participating in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.
