
Washington Spirit to Partner with NovaCare Rehabilitation for 2016 Season

BOYDS, Md - The Washington Spirit has signed a partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation, a nationally prominent, locally driven provider of outpatient physical rehabilitation, to be the exclusive provider of physical therapy, hand therapy, and athletic training services through the 2016 National Women's Soccer League season.
"NovaCare Rehabilitation's clinical team has a terrific track record of treating athletes and we are excited about our new partnership with the Washington Spirit," said Mr. Brian Hershberger, P.T., NovaCare Rehabilitation market manager. "Our primary goal is to optimize performance through injury prevention, conditioning and physical therapy services. We look forward to working with the Spirit in bringing the same results characterized by safety and performance to youth soccer and the local community. We are confident the Spirit will have a winning season with the help of our rehabilitation expertise."
As part of the agreement, NovaCare Rehabilitation will provide the Washington Spirit with an athletic trainer, Mr. Pierre Soubrier, ATC, to cover team training sessions as well as home and away games during the 2016 season.
Mr. Soubrier also served as Head Athletic Trainer for the Spirit for the 2015 season.
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation," said Washington Spirit COO Ashlee Comber. "The expertise and resources that they bring in physical therapy will be invaluable to our pro players and all the athletes in our organization. A massive bonus is that we will be able to retain our Athletic Trainer (through NovaCare), Pierre, whom was an integral part of starting this relationship."
