Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
Moose Jaw, Sask. -- The Western Hockey League's Moose Jaw Warriors have announced that Rene Lemire has resigned as the club's assistant coach, citing personal reasons.
Rene joined the Warriors as Moose Jaw's assistant coach in December 2004. Before joining the Warriors, he had a very successful coaching career with the Notre Dame Hounds of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
This past season, he helped lead Moose Jaw to a number of new franchise records including a 44-win season.
"Rene has given us 1 1/2 years and in that span has brought our team to new heights," says Moose Jaw general manager Chad Lang.
The Warriors will begin to search for a replacement immediately.
