
Warriors Assign Kevon Looney to Santa Cruz Warriors

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Golden State Warriors have assigned forward Kevon Looney to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, the team announced today.
Looney, who the Warriors selected with the 30th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of UCLA, underwent a right hip arthroscopy to repair a torn labrum on August 20, 2015. Last season as a freshman he averaged 11.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game for the Bruins, leading all freshmen in the nation with 15 double-doubles.
He will begin practicing with the Warriors' D-League affiliate this week.
