Warriors and Yara Get Set to Hand out the Hardware

The Moose Jaw Warriors, in partnership with Yara, are pleased to present the 2008-2009 Year End Awards, Friday March 13th, 2009 vs. the Brandon Wheat Kings.

This is the first year that the Warriors' awards will be presented on ice at the Civic Centre and all fans are encouraged to stay in their seats following the final buzzer to view who this year's winners are.

"At Yara we are once again excited to be sponsoring the Moose Jaw Warriors annual awards night," said Andrew Swenson Corporate Affairs Specialist for Yara Belle Plaine. "The Warriors are an integral part of the community in Moose Jaw and we are pleased to be able to partner with them in support of this special event," he went on to say.

The Awards that will be handed out following the game are as follows:

Yara Fans Choice Award

Most Sportsmanlike Player Award

Top Scorer Award

Rookie of the Year Award

Scholastic Achievement Award

Un-Sung Hero Award

Molson Cup Award

Humanitarian Award

Best Defensive Player Award

Most Improved Player Award

Mark MacKay Hustle Award

MVP Award

"We are very fortunate to once again have the opportunity to partner with Yara", commented Warriors General Manager Chad Lang. "We feel it is an opportunity to maximize the recognition of those players that have had personal success during the 2008-09 season. It also will provide an opportunity for all of our loyal fans and sponsors to witness the awards presentation and help us recognize the various players for their individual accomplishments," stated General Manager Chad Lang.

Fans are also encouraged to vote the player they feel should win the Yara Fans Choice Award. Fans can vote online at www.mjwarriors.ca by clicking on the Yara Warriors Awards Night icon, located on the home page. Ballot boxes will also be made available on both sides of the concourse at the Warriors March 8th and March 10th games as well as in the Warriors box office and downtown front office.
