
Warriors Acquire Martel from Calgary

Vancouver Warriors News Release
The Vancouver Warriors have acquired forward Ryan Martel from the Calgary Roughnecks in exchange for forward Lyndon Bunio.
Martel, 23, from Aldergrove BC, is a 5'10", 185 pound forward who was drafted 11th overall by Calgary in the first round of the 2017 NLL Entry Draft. In 16 games over three seasons, Martel scored 9 goals and added 15 assists for 24 points. The lefthander was also a part of the roster that won the 2019 NLL Championship.
"We are looking forward to Ryan coming in and competing for a spot in our organization," comments Warriors General Manager Dan Richardson. "We would like to thank Lyndon for his time here in Vancouver, and wish him the best of success in Calgary."
The Warriors kick off their 2021-22 regular season this Friday as they travel to San Diego to face the Seals. Game time is 7 PM. Vancouver opens their home schedule on Friday, December 17 when they take on the Saskatchewan Rush. Game time for the home opener will be 7:30 PM.
