November 29, 2021 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
San Diego Seals News Release
The San Diego Seals announced today the team's roster for the 2021-22 season.
The 21-man Active Roster is highlighted by veteran leadership, championship experience and young athleticism. Captain Brodie Merrill and starting goaltender Frank Scigliano are two of 15 returners suiting up for the Seals this season. Five rookies, including four first-round picks, earned their spots on the final roster.
The Seals added star-power, competitiveness and depth with the offseason addition of 2019 NLL MVP Dane Dobbie. San Diego native and Cathedral Catholic High School alumnus Reed Rezanka starts the season on the team's practice roster. Three players, including forward Austin Staats, begin the season on the Inactive Roster with injuries.
"We truly believe we have a special group this season," said General Manager and Head Coach Patrick Merrill. "Guys showed up to training camp ready to compete and we had some tough decisions to make. We couldn't be more excited about our 2021-22 team. This group is fun to watch, competitive and determined. We're ready to hit the floor on Opening Night."
