Philadelphia Union News Release
CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union have announced that midfielder Warren Creavalle has been called up to the Guyana Senior Men's National Team for their upcoming friendly match against Martinique. The match will take place at the MSC Ground in Linden, Guyana on Tuesday, March 28th. Creavalle has earned two caps for Guyana.
Creavalle, 26, was acquired by Philadelphia Union at the end of the 2015 campaign from Toronto FC. Creavalle proved to be a pivotal piece for Philadelphia in their road to the postseason last season, an achievement reached by the club for the second time in team history.
In 2016, Creavalle started in 21 matches for the Union which was a career high. For the Union last season he appeared in 27 matches tying a career high, also setting that mark in 2013 with Houston Dynamo. Creavalle started and played the full 90 in Philadelphia's playoff matchup last season against Toronto FC. In his career Creavalle has racked up 110 games played, 70 starts with five goals and four assists.
Creavalle and the rest of Philadelphia Union will be back in action next week on April 1, when they travel 119 miles south to take on Eastern Conference rival D.C. United at RFK Stadium. Kick-off for that match is set for 7 p.m. and will be televised on The Comcast Network (TCN).
