Walters Added To 2010 USHL All-Star Game Roster

Chicago, IL - Des Moines Buccaneers forward Ryan Walters has been named a 2010 USHL All-Star and has been added to the roster of the West Division at the 2010 USHL All-Star Game, which will take place at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010. Walters joins teammates T.J. Tynan, Connor Brickley and Austin Coldwell in representing the Des Moines Buccaneers on - and off - the ice at the two day event in Indianapolis.
Walters, a native of Rosemount, MN, has appeared in 35 games for the Buccaneers and has 39 points (12 goals, 27 assists). He has posted a point in 16 of the last 17 games the Buccaneers have played. The 18 year old played in all 60 of the Buccaneers games last season and through 111 career USHL games, he has collected 86 points (30g, 56a).
Walters will be replacing Matt Leitner of the Fargo Force who can't compete in the event due to a prior non-hockey commitment. Cedar Rapids goalie Troy Grosenick will replace Indiana Ice goaltender Cab Morris who can't compete in the event due to injury.
The two teams competing in the event represent the USHL's East and West Divisions, with each roster consisting of 21 players - six defenseman, 13 forwards, and two goaltenders. Reebok/CCM, the League's equipment partner and major sponsor of the All-Star Game, has designated the West Division All-Stars as Team Reebok, and the East Division All-Stars as Team CCM. With the growth of the USHL to 14 Member Clubs this season, All-Star rosters were set at 21 to accommodate the increasing talent pool in the League.
