
Walleye Open Season Tonight in Indy

Toledo, OH - The Toledo Walleye have announced the 2015-16 season opening roster prior to the start of the season tonight in Indy to take on the Fuel.
The seventh opening night roster features 22 players, 11 of which have played in Toledo in prior seasons. Returning from last year's Brabham Cup Championship team are forwards: Kyle Bonis, A.J. Jenks, Shane Berschbach, Alden Hirschfeld and Michael Leone. Defensemen Jared Nightingale, Joel Chouinard and Richard Nedomlel return along with 32 game winning goaltender Jeff Lerg.
Forward Evan Rankin who played with the Walleye for the first three seasons returns to the team along with goaltender Jake Paterson who won his first pro game in last year's season finale for Toledo. New to the forward group is Josh Shalla, Stephan Vigier, along with first-year forwards J.P. LaFontaine, Dominic Zombo, Austin Wuthrich and Tyler Sikura. Kyle Bushee, Beau Schmitz, Derek Docken, Andrew Prochno and former Bowling Green State University Ralfs Freibergs are new defensemen.
