Walleye Finalize Season Ending Deals

Toledo, OH - The Toledo Walleye announced today they finalized three separate deals closing out the 2015-16 season.

Toledo has acquired the rights to defenseman Jacob MacDonald from the Elmira Jackals completing a deal for defenseman Kyle Bushee on January 12. Macdonald was named to the 2015-16 ECHL All-Rookie Team with 37 points (17G, 20A) over 72 games for the Jackals. The native of Brighton, Michigan spent the four prior years with Cornell University posting 21 points (4G, 17A) over 104 contests.

To complete the Joe Sova deal from February 11, Toledo has sent the Tulsa Oilers the rights to defenseman Andrew Prochno. Prochno appeared in 58 games for the Walleye this past year with 22 assists and was a plus 19.

Toledo has also sent the rights to forward Josh Shalla to the Wheeling Nailers to complete a trade from March 4th in which the Walleye picked up defenseman Mike Slowikowski. Shalla posted 42 points (20G, 22A) over 67 games during the regular season and also had a goal in seven postseason contests.
