ECHL Annual Meetings Presented by Essensa Set for Next Week

June 14, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL Annual Meetings presented by Essensa, will be held June 20-24 at the Monte Carlo Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, hosting the League's Board of Governors' Meeting, Presidents & General Managers' Meeting, fifth annual TeamWork Online Career Fair, ECHL Vendors' Showcase, and two days of Sales, Marketing, and Communications Meetings. The event will also feature tours of the recently opened T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for ECHL personnel to explore the latest features incorporated into the new venue.

The ECHL is expecting to surpass last year's total with a new record number of participants at these Meetings, including participants from all 29 ECHL Member Teams, as well as representatives from the Southern Professional Hockey League, United States Hockey League, National Women's Hockey League and guest speakers from the National Hockey League, American Hockey League and other sport industry professionals.

"It is very encouraging to see our Annual Meetings grow to this level," said Ryan Crelin, Senior Vice President of Business Operations for the ECHL. "We are bringing together personnel from six different hockey leagues across the continent and some of the sport industries most inspiring speakers in order to focus on our business for the 2016-17 Season. This year we are welcoming Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeffrey Vinik, as well as the legendary Jon Spoelstra, and are excited to hear from them and bring their success stories back to our markets."

"Essensa is proud to sponsor the ECHL Annual Meetings for the second year in a row," said Essensa President and CEO John P. Sganga. "The ECHL and Essensa have a shared vision of providing fans with the best possible experience while delivering cost and time savings to the league and its teams."

The week also includes the fifth annual ECHL Career Fair, presented by TeamWork Online, where over 75 select candidates from around the country will be interviewing with ECHL teams to launch their career in sports for the 2016-17 season, after multiple candidates were hired at last year's event.
