Walleye Acquire Defenseman

Toledo, OH - The Toledo Walleye announced today they have acquired the rights to defenseman Spencer Humphries from the South Carolina Stingrays. This completes the trade from October 20, 2015, that sent forward Stephan Vigier to the Stingrays.

Humphries spent most of the 2015-16 season with the Evansville IceMen appearing in 54 games while posting two goals and 14 assists. Following his trade to South Carolina, the 24-year-old defenseman had six assists in seven contests during the regular season and then added a goal with five assists in 12 playoff games. Humphries has appeared in 128 ECHL contests over his career with five goals, 44 assists and 148 penalty minutes.
