
Stingrays Complete Trade with Toledo Walleye

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC-The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals, have completed a trade with the Toledo Walleye, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today. The Stingrays have traded the ECHL rights to defenseman Spencer Humphries to the Walleye to complete a previous trade that sent Stephan Vigier to South Carolina last October.
Humphries, 24, was obtained by the Stingrays at the ECHL's trade deadline on March 10 from the Evansville IceMen for defenseman Brendan Ellis. Humphries skated in seven regular season games with the Stingrays, posting six assists. In the playoffs, Humphries played 12 games, recording six points (one goal, five assists).
Vigier, obtained from Toledo for future considerations on October 20, led the Stingrays with 24 goals during the regular season and finished second on the team with 50 points. He also collected 11 points (six goals, five assists) in 19 playoff games.
