
Walla Walla Cannot Comeback from Early Deficit

BEND, Ore- The Walla Walla Sweets (18-15) dropped game three of the series to the Bend Elks (13-17) 10-3 on Friday night.
The Elks jumped out in front early with two runs in the first inning and three runs in the second inning. Starter Jackson Weeg (Emory) only lasted an inning and a third in his first loss of the season (5-1).
Walla Walla answered in the fourth inning with two runs on RBIs by Willie MacIver (Washington) and Alex Muzzi (Long Beach State).
The Elks came back with five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, including two home runs, and were in control 10-2.
The Sweets scored an unearned run in the eighth inning on a couple of errors by Bend.
Walla Walla will enjoy two days off before they take on the North Sound Emeralds in a non-league game on Monday. The Sweets will start Jack Cosca (Cal).
