
Walks Lead To Cutters Loss

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
A night after not allowing a single walk as a pitching staff, the Crosscutters allowed a season-high nine walks as a staff, though they did strikeout a season-high 13 Spikes batters.
Williamsport committed three errors, including an error on the final play of the game that allowed the Spikes to score the game-winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning. Williamsport did not commit an error a night ago.
Francisco Morales struck out seven batters, including six of the first eight batters he faced. He finished the night, allowing two runs on two hits and four walks to go along with the seven strikeouts in 3.1 innings. His fastball topped out at 98 MPH Four Cutters finished with two-hit nights, including Rafael Marchan, who finished 2 for 6 with a RBI triple in the 8th inning.
